G.F.Williams is a second generation family business and has traded successfully for over 40 years.
A dedicated gem wholesaler suppling jewellers with coloured gemstones, diamonds and pearls.
Our global client base; - from major jewellery manufacturers, to collectors and students, is backed with a large inventory and vast experience.
Company History

Geoffrey Williams came into the gemtrade in the early 1960's working for a Hatton Garden gemdealing company. At that time there was huge growth in automating jewellery manufacture.
New production techniques required consistant sizes and qualities in large volume in order to keep up with the growth of the retail groups and mail order companies. Close relationships with European gemcutting companies helped develop the precision machine cutting of gemstones; this technology gave Geoffrey the ideal solution to source high quality gemstones for this new growth and the company grew from strength to strength.

Staff: A close team of professionally qualified gemmologists with a combined experience of over 100 years in the jewellery trade.
Jason Williams, Managing Director Jason Williams F.G.A. D.G.A. : Jason joined the company 20 years ago, when business was developing very fast. His interest and our continued investment in technology has enabled the powerful systems we use to provide our clients with the optimum service. Travelling regularly to continue close relationships with established suppliers and to explore new product throughout the world, his responsibilties include inventry and quality control and buying. He is a regular contributor to trade publications. He gives lectures for Gem-A and is a council member of this educational charity. He also covers the French and Irish markets.
John Taylor F.G.A. D.G.A. : John joined the company over thirty years ago from managing a family retail jewellery business and teaching the N.A.G. retail jewellers diploma at Plymouth University. As G.F.Williams sales manager he has been responsible for developing both the home and export markets. His natural open honest approach and enthusiam to share his knowedge has won him the respect of some of the worlds leading jewellers. He is also responsible for the purchasing of diamonds.
Annette Garland D.G.A. : Annette joined the company as a junior thirty years ago and has established a multi-tasking role as office manager covering administration, buying and sorting gemstones. Her in depth knowledge of the products and qualities we stock and our clients requirements are essential for effective supply. Annette is responsible for the administration of approbation goods and accounts. Please do not over run on either, she takes a very dim view of late approbation or accounts.
Amanda Good F.G.A. D.G.A : Amanda joined the company in early 2005. A welcome member of the team, she has established herself quickly as a friendly and reliable client stalwart. Her unparalled knowledge of the stock we carry is apparent to anyone who talks to her. Amanda is a keen gemmologist and one of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain's Examiners. Her hobbies include Quilting in which she is soon to gain the highly acclaimed diploma.
Mick Doyle: Mick joined the company on his retirement from the Royal Mail. Being a vital part of the team, Mick is responsible for our despatch and shipping. His in depth knowledge of the intricacies of export documentation and shipping procedures enables our clients to have confidence their orders will arrive in the required time frame and in optimum condition.

Claire Williams: Company Accounts Manager. An experienced AAT qualified Accounts Manager Claire runs business systems for this among other companiesin a variety of fields. Her hobbies include netball and motorsport, she is a valuable asset to the team.
Export: The company has developed an international client base through its expertise, open trading policies, and long term personal relationships.
Trade suppliers: Due to the scale of our inventory and continued buying we are able to offer our clients a reliable source of products from stock. Thus giving them the confidence to focus on the predominant issues their own businesses.
