Birthstones Guide

Creating jewellery that is associated to a loved one’s birth month is increasing in popularity. Above is a simple guide to which gemstones are recognised in the UK as birthstones for months.
January: Garnet comes in a range of colours including greens, reds and oranges.
February: Amythest can come in a deep purple to much lighter in colour
March: Aquamarine
April: Diamond, including coloured diamonds
May: Emerald
June: Pearl, Moonstone and Alexandrite
July: Ruby
August: Peridot
September: Sapphire, coming in a range of different colours
October: Opal (including Fire Opal) and Tourmaline
November: Topaz. Traditionally Imperial Topaz but now commonly includes Blue Topaz
December: Tanzanite. Turquoise was traditionally used.
